It seems - according to this most thorough of book proposals - that we are just a bunch of misguided fools wallowing in our victimhood. Oh. And if you simply can't stand it and bail out, please skip to the end which concludes this way: "This large market of wealthy readers has been under-served in its need for validation of its choice to adopt. The Chosen Child is a book that meets a definite desire and need."

I must keep breathing, while my head spins.
This guy is just doing this for shock value to sell a book and make money. He is not citing any scholarly work, nor has he done any scholarly work in this field. Unfortunately, a lot of people will buy this guy's stuff as factual, much like some take tabloids at face value. Sad. Hopefully he will not get this book published.
Yanno... when I started blogging, I set up some groundrules for myself. One of them was that if I didn't agree with what someone wrote on their own personal blog, I was going to take Thumper's Mommy's advice from Bambi of "If you can't say someting nice, don't say anything at all." and leave without comment.
But then I realized she was just a silly wabbit.
Unfortunately though Lee has hit the nail on the head here. This is shock value. Who wants to read another depressing old book on adoption?
